Dr. Harpreet Chahal has dedicated her career to advancing the health and well-being of companion animals through skilled, compassionate veterinary care. With a strong foundation in both clinical medicine and scientific research, she brings a thoughtful, personalized approach to every patient interaction.
She began her veterinary education in 1996 at Punjab Agricultural University, where she completed rigorous training and internships in both large and small animal internal medicine. Her early academic work included a role with the university’s Veterinary Epidemiology Department, where she focused on the study and control of epidemic diseases affecting pets.
In 2002, Dr. Chahal relocated to the United States to further her education and broaden her clinical expertise. She earned a Master’s degree in Veterinary Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2004, with special interests in exotic animal care and microbiology. After completing the U.S. veterinary licensure process, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2007 and has practiced locally ever since.
In 2011, Dr. Chahal became the owner of Dublin Veterinary Hospital, where she leads a dedicated team focused on providing high-quality, client-centered veterinary services. Hi there! I'm a Registered Veterinary Technician and have been lucky enough to work in this amazing field since 2021. My love for animals started way back. I grew up in a house full of dogs and cats, so caring for furry (and feathery!) friends has always come naturally. These days, I share my home with two sweet and sassy cockatiels who definitely run the show. I’m passionate about making animals feel safe, loved, and cared for—whether it’s during a routine check-up or a more serious visit. I especially love doing diagnostics and dental cleanings! Helping pets and their people is truly the best part of my job!

Hey, I’m Regan! I’ve been a vet assistant at Dublin Veterinary Hospital since July 2023. My furry family includes my polydactyl cat, Polly, and pit bull-Shih Tzu mix, Ace. Working here has given me a special love for chihuahuas, as most of my clients know. When I’m not caring for animals, I love to read, go to concerts, or experiment with fun hair colors.

Hey! I’ve been part of the team since 2024 and have always had a deep love for animals of all kinds. I share my home with my husband, Logan, and cat, Kenny, but don’t worry—I’m just as crazy about dogs, too! Whether they bark, purr, or anything in between, I’m dedicated to providing every pet with exceptional care, kindness, and comfort. I’m working towards becoming a registered veterinary technician in the near future. My favorite things are analyzing the results from blood tests and being able to help Dr. Chahal diagnose what is going on with your fur babies. Preventative care is something I am also passionate about. I feel truly lucky to help make a difference in the lives of the animals and the people who love them.

Bio coming soon!
Dr. Harpreet Chahal grew up on a farm in India, where animal care was a natural part of life from her earliest memories. As she grew a bit older, she began to develop a fascination with the sciences. For Dr. Chahal, combining her passion for pets and her medical interests simply made sense — she’s known ever since she was a little girl that she would one day help animals as a veterinarian!
Dr. Chahal began her veterinary studies in 1996 at the Punjab Agricultural University in India, completing internships in large and small animal internal medicine during her studies. She joined the Veterinary Epidemiology Department at the university, studying various epidemic diseases that affect pets, before moving to the United States in 2002. Dr. Chahal earned her master’s degree in veterinary sciences in 2004 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and she explored the worlds of exotic care and microbiology. After becoming a licensed veterinarian in the States, she relocated to the Bay Area in 2007 and has been practicing here ever since — she purchased Dublin Veterinary Hospital in 2011 to provide the community with her brand of customer-centered, personalized, and compassionate care.
Around the clinic, Dr. Chahal particularly likes performing dental work and helping pets feel better with great dermatological care. She’s also fond of internal medicine cases, pain management, and surgical procedures. Most of all, she likes to meet new pet owners and their beloved companions every day!
When time permits away from the hospital, Dr. Chahal loves painting landscapes, reading good books, and spending quality time at home with her husband, daughter and son.
